How Our Commission Schedule Works
A structured process designed to ensure precision, quality control, and predictable turnaround.
Project Intake & Queue Placement
When you purchase a listed service, your project secures a position in the active commission schedule.
Within 48 hours, you will receive:
• A confirmation email
• A project reference / ticket number
• Instructions for the next stage
This ticket number may be used for future status inquiries.
Production Phase
Once your project arrives and reaches its scheduled position:
• Frame modifications, machining, coating, or engraving work begins
• Quality checks are performed throughout execution
• Final inspection is completed prior to packaging
Each project is approached individually.
We do not operate on batch production.
Our Structured Workflow
Flathead Precision operates on a structured, commission-based workflow. When you secure a service, your project is placed in our active queue and scheduled for hands-on production in sequence.
This process ensures each project receives focused attention, controlled execution, and quality oversight.
Shipment Timing
Projects are not shipped immediately after purchase.
Approximately one week prior to hands-on production, you will receive notification instructing you to ship or deliver your item.
This prevents unnecessary idle storage time and maintains workflow efficiency.
Projects not received during the designated window may be rescheduled.
Completion & Return
You will be notified once your project is complete.
At that time:
• Return shipping costs are calculated
• Serialized items are returned in accordance with federal regulations, to a licensed FFL.
• Tracking information is provided when applicable
All items are packaged securely prior to shipment.
